Smile it’s contagious!

Smile it’s contagious!

Smile its contagious!

Yes it is! I had so many great smiles to work with for my Easter dinner scrapbooking layout and my daughter’s Spring photo scrapbooking layout.

Nothing screams Spring time more to me than dying eggs with my girls for an egg hunt! Along with the beautiful colors my girls would choose to dye the eggs, Easter dinner with family is just as bright. The days are getting longer, we get to enjoy lovely warm breezes and best of all, it’s time to pull out the floral dresses!

Photoplay’s Fern & Willard paper kit, included in Craftastic Cabin's April 2021 Scrapbooking Subscription Box was perfect to create the scrapbooking layouts for my photos. But being able to use all the photos I wanted was a different story! Isn't that the hardest part sometimes?

For my first layout, Smile (it’s contagious) ⬆️ shown above, I started with the 12”x12” flower paper shown below ⬇️, which was included Photoplay’s Fern & Willard page kit.

On top of the flower paper, I layered the green floral print, also in the kit, shown below ⬇️, and I cut it down to 11”x11”.

For my title, I cutout “Smile (it’s contagious)" from the pattern paper below, included in the page kit and centered on top of the page.

I bordered each side of the page by cutting six squares from the quilted pattern paper shown below ⬇️.

I then added Eyelet Outlet Yellow and Green Paper Flowers, included in Craftastic Cabin's April 2021 Scrapbooking Subscription Box. Each flower was embellished with Eyelet Outlet’s Spring Brads. The middle squares were embellished with stickers from the element sticker sheet included in the Photoplay’s Fern & Willard page kit.

And for the final touches, I off centered a circle sticker on the 5x7 photo and a small butterfly, also from the element sticker sheet.

Then I added my journaling details. And just like that my first scrapbooking layout is complete!

The second layout, “Smile”, shown above ⬆️, is a tribute to my beautiful daughter, Amber, who passed away a year after this photo was taken. Her little smile gets me every time. The thing I love the most about scrapbooking is preserving those precious memories and turning them into forever keepsakes.

To begin, I chose the yellow gingham pattern paper

included Photo Fern & Willard page kit as my base.

Then I cut the sky pattern paper (also in the page kit) down to 5”x12” and adhered that off centered on the left side. ⬇️

I then covered the seam with a piece of 1”x12” green floral pattern leftover from my first layout.

I centered my 5”x7” photo and embellished the corner with a tag, Fern the frog, and heart stickers from the included element sticker sheet.

I placed my title “Smile” ⬇️ on the top right of the page with a butterfly right below it, both also from the element sticker sheet.

I bordered the center with butterflies from the included Fern & Willard Stamp Set, watercolored then added Eyelet Outlet’s red & blue jewels to the wings.

I added a few journaling details and — another ✅ scrapbooking layout done!
